VR GP Vacancy in the South East of Rural VIC

A small practice located in the Gippsland Region of rural VIC is seeking a Full time VR GP with ED Skills
This position involves assisting with the on call roster 1:4 and VMO.  The applicant would need to be Level 4 – unsupervised, Fellow of the College.  Accommodation is offered with the position.

The percentage rate on offer is 75%. The GP can expect to see approx. 20 – 30 patients per day.  This town is located within a farming community with a population on 2100. The practice has a patient base of approx. 5000. During the holiday periods the population grows as many holiday makers come to the area for fishing and camping.
At the medical centre there will be 2 other full time doctors.
The clinic hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm, Sat 9am - 2pm. The doctors work the following sessions Monday to Friday 9am - 1pm & 2pm - 5.30pm. Sat 9am - 12pm.

The clinic is a mixture of bulk billing and private accounts with bulk billing making up approximately 85%. The Medical Centre is affiliated with the local District Health Service. This allows Radiology, and allied health services to be readily available.  The practice offers services such as optometry, foot clinic, phycologist, continence clinic, echo cardiology clinic and we have a visiting physician weekly.  There is a reception staff of 3 and 2 dedicated practice nurses.
