VR GP Locum in Sports Medicine Needed for Newcastle

A position is available for a VR GP who is interested in working at local football games in Newcastle and Sydney.

This position is available commencing May 2015. There will be administration staff available and there will be a physiotherapist at the games as well.  The GP Locum will need to be available for 3 - 5 hours and on hand for in excess of 150 players and the club members.

Earn 75% of billings if the Locum is a VR GP. The Locum will be required to bill medicare for afterhours service within their own right. All administration and logistics are taken care of.

Anticipated earnings are $500- $1,500 for the afternoon.  The Locum needs to have their own black bag initially.
Anticipated work will be mostly triage and some minor procedural including: 

• Concussion testing 
• Referral 
• Prescribing 
• Suturing 
• Observation

This position is great for a GP who is looking for some extra work or income on the weekends or who is interested in something a little different like Sports Medicine
