Locum Vacancy in Northern QLD

You will see approx. 25+ patients per day

$6000 per week ($1200 per day) + GST, this fee is negotiable.
• A sole practice, so it does get quite busy as you will be the only GP in the practice
• not be required to be on call

Your hours of work would be:
o Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday: 8:30am – 5:00pm, closing for lunch hour 12:30 – 1:30pm
o Thursday & Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm, closing for lunch: 11:30am – 12:00

• Using Medical Director and Pracsoft 3.18a at our practice. Would prefer the doctor to be familiar with this computer software.
• General Practice, not an AMS, but does focus on Indigenous Health. Would like the doctor to be familiar or willing to learn and perform Health Checks (Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander, 4yro, 45-49 & 75+) and Care Plans
• The General Practitioner will be expected to perform Pap Smears and children immunisations (when our Practice Nurse is away and immunisations are booked in).
• The General Practitioner will need General Registration as we cannot provide supervision.
• Surgery Vehicle is provided for GP to use
• Accommodation & Flights will be paid for the GP only.
• You may need to visit the nursing homes or complete a home visit for our regular patient if requested (this is not very often)
• Locum GP’s will be picked up from the Proserpine-Whitsunday Airport

The center has two consulting rooms, a procedure room, staff room and 2 areas for visiting allied health specialists. On staff are 1 x Locum GP, 2 x Practice Nurses, Trainees Aboriginal Health Worker, Practice Manager and Receptionist. The center is situated in a duplex setting with a private dental practice as a neighbor.
