GP VMO Vacancy at Narrandera NSW

Services:    It is expected that you will work in the practice, providing a full range of general practice services as normally expected, including home visits and visits to aged care facilities. 
 
GP VMO Position Details:

To be advised depending on experience and qualifications.

Relocation assistance is provided and excellent community and practice support available to the incoming GP and family.

It is expected that you will participate in the Hospital on call and after hours roster as arranged by the Practice.

This work may include Accident and Emergency, providing basic resuscitation, management of all trauma, including severe, with appropriate stabilisation and referral and the management of acute medical emergencies.   
(A weekend on call includes outpatients’ clinics at the hospital’s Accident and Emergency department on Saturday and Sunday at 6.00 pm, being on call to the hospital from 7am Friday to 7am Monday, and attending to all inpatients on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Where possible, patients are directed to attend the Hospital at the time of the clinics.  

A weekend on call includes working at the Medical Centre from 9.30 am to 12.00noon on Saturday.   The Medical Centre does not open on Sundays.)
 
It is expected that you will be second on call six out of seven days (unless on call) to provide support as required to other doctors who will also be rostered on call throughout your period of engagement.    This entails both second on call to the hospital for provision of VMO Services, and a supervisory role for GP Registrars within the practice.

This position would be ideal for a doctor working towards Fellowship, as there is great support available. Narrandera is also an RVTS and ACRRM eligible location.
