GP Vacancy in Southern Suburbs of Adelaide SA

Bulk-billed medical centre established in 2018, with brand new and state-of-the-art facilities:  

• 7 consulting rooms,
• a 2-bed treatment room (with immunisation fridge, oxygen, CPR, wound dressing trolley and equipment, ear syringe equipment, ECG, spirometry, iron infusion equipment, doppler and other standard equipment you would find in a well appointed treatment room),
• pathology collection room,
• administration office and
• large tea room.

The practice is part of a large medical centre precinct that includes pharmacy, large physiotherapy practice, and a gym. The practice is privately owned, but there is a potential for partnership.
There is established patient population and a large number of families moving into the local catchment area. Patients consist mostly of young families, as well as elderly patients as there are a number of aged care facilities in the region. The area has a large amount of chronic disease patients.  
Medical Centre is a bulk billing practice but due to the prevalence of patients with a chronic disease there is a good opportunity to engage in GPMPs etc.  There is a very large patient demand in the area, due to the ageing doctor population and also the new families moving into the local area. It is one of the fastest growing suburbs in South Australia.


The practice is fully accredited. 
There are 2 GPs and a nurse onsite,  and standard appointments are 15 minutes although doctors can arrange their appointments how they prefer.  The nurses are also trained to complete GPMP's/TCAs/Health Assessments/Cycle of Care etc.
The practice uses Best Practice software and it is 100% paperless.
There is a dedicated practice manager and administration staff onsite at all times.

Working hours:
9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Rate of pay:
70% of billings, with the initial guarantee of $150 per hour .
Flexible hours and leave arrangements.

Skills sought:
The practice would like to attract a GP that is interested in family health. An interest in womens health would be advantageous. There is a lack of skin cancer services in the area and this also would be an excellent opportunity for a new doctor.

The practice is located approximately 5 minutes from some of the best beaches in the world, and a 30 minute drive to the Adelaide CBD.
