GP Vacancy in rural Far North QLD

A well established mixed billing medical centre is under new ownership and is looking for a VR GP (full or part time) to join the team.

About the Role: 
This is a long standing practice with a strong patient base; however, their books are currently closed and they want to open their doors again which will mean new patients for the new GP.
This practice currently has visiting Psychologists, Podiatrist, Exercise Physiologist, Sonographer and Audiologist and they are looking to expand their team to include further allied health to provide a multidisciplinary approach to health management.
Currently, they have 2 GPs, a full time RN and visiting allied health as described above. 
This location is a DWS area. It is also in a rural location, RRMA 5, RA 3.
Extra points goes to a doctor with interest in chronic disease management. 
Medical Director software is used.

Working hours: 
Mon - Fri 8 am to 5 pm 
No weekend work 
Hours are negotiable with full or part time available and there is no after hours commitment.

Rate of Pay:
Negotiable depending on the qualifications, previous experience and level of commitment to the role.
This location may result in GRIP eligibility.

Qualifications:
General or Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
For applicants with General Registration requiring enrolment on the RLRP program, you must have a current GP assessment of at least 2 years of GP experience.

Located 60 minutes north of Cairns (International airport) in Far North Queensland, 20kms from Port Douglas, a prime holiday destination and is the gateway to the Daintree. A picturesque little township nestled at the foot of the mountains among bright green fields of sugar cane. Boasts all shops/ services with Cairns only a short drive away for major needs.
